Well ok, I can work with that better now you’ve elaborated on ‘unconventional’. I don’t mind criticism, it’s just that I spent quite a lot of effort trying to be positive and polite when voting on your battles so your bluntness seemed like a bitter irony.

Pretty sure my rhymes are fine, maybe your issue is that it’s written for my Southwestern English accent. Bag and my oblong-headed compatriot Slayerr haven’t criticised it so I figure it’s ok.

100% valid if my writing structure doesn’t appeal to you. To be fair I’d probably use more line breaks if we weren’t writing to a line-count limit. That might make it seem a little less wordy. Or not.

well .. to be fair, there IS "google pronunciation" if you need to see how it's pronounced ... simply go to google and type 'pronounce' and the word you're trying to rhyme.. otherwise... it's just being lazy...

i mean it's 2025 and being on this site means you have internet access .. so there are no excuses

not to long ago we had a discussion about how to pronounce Phalanx .. being from the south, I pronounced Phal to rhyme with "file"// and @Slayerr got all kinds of pissed at me... this is no different ...

lol @mal diction , I've never had to look up rhymes from verses here: You can figure out that it rhymes either way. Especially when it's multis. The only thing ever from Virb that didn't compute with me was the Jake Paul/Pool stuff. But that DOES rhyme in a Scottish accent, though. So he could have done a Scottish act out and made it work. Everything goes.. Especially in text. I even faked a British accent for a word to rhyme on here once, lol. Yeah, it's a sin, but not cardinal.

Wh..what? Mal, you’re aware that there are different accents with different ways of pronouncing things, right? There isn’t one correct version you can google.

Your 15 syllable thing is totally arbitrary. Nothing objectively wrong with longer lines, as demonstrated by the fact that I’ve been using them for the entire tourney and won a lot of battles. Maybe you should start writing longer lines too, that way you might be able to fit some actual content and wordplay into them eh?
