"The post apocalyptic woman."

In an emblazoned existence, mother nature fades in subsistence,
everyday, she prays so persistent, she's afraid of God's resistance.
The despair, does he listen? She sits in a field of departed spirits,
the land appears livid, lifeless organisms among darkness so vivid.
Heartless, yet timid, watching the galaxy implode outward,
the planets line up like a thin rope, devoured by some cold coward.
She predicts everything will begin to end within an hour.

She can see the eye of the storm, born without an umbilical cord,
unaware of a woman's scorn, though it's been torn by a mystical horn.
She'd become your typical whore, fucked by heaven's iniquity.

She bleeds through the white dress, trying to fight for what's right,
her dirt stained knees rest along the edge of the sky, a look so wry.
Trying to protect the light, but there are spies among her presence,
what was wrong with ethics? Gone along with the very essence.
She feels so helpless, a former deity fallen from superior attention,
everything she mentions to Olympus is only seen as inferior vision.
But as a mother, she must not give in.

A radiance of hope, paying consequence with stone,
she was the only survivor of twenty twelve, poor soul.
The self-proclaimed Mother Nature, left here alone,
with only rubble and clay, there's no faith for her to hold.

(The man looks around, and without a second glimpse,
he ends his speech and retreats toward the nearest exit.)

"Oh honey, that painting is so beautiful!"

"Yes dear, indeed, it's The Final Chapter."

“The Year is 1959 Physicist Dr. Jonathan "Jon" Osterman was transformed into a blue-skinned god-like being after he was accidentally disintegrated in an "Intrinsic Field Sub tractor. Within a few months, his disembodied consciousness managed to reconstruct a physical body for itself, assisted in part (it is implied) by his childhood training in watch repair and a solid understanding of precision assembly and disassembly. He is immediately pressed into service by the United States Government, who gives him the name Doctor Manhattan, after the Manhattan Project”

59’ tinkering on an "Intrinsic Field Subtractor,
Lives work, problem pinpointed to the cataclysmic yield compactor.
Working on a deadline, the government needs this device,
First test, dimming of lights, not enough power something isn’t right!
First affected my sight, felt the power of God gripping me tight,
Then the laboratory ignites, tripping from fright, I fled in the night.
Cherenkov radiation responsible for the coughing and adaptations,
Lie dying and waiting, asking for relief of septic abrasions.

I am granted my wish… although only briefly.

A few months dead yet I’m totally aware of everything.
I’m getting more intelligent and my IQ is accelerating,
Recreating cellular walls trying to rebuild flesh
Start with my brain, face, eyes and neck,
Regain my once disembodied consciousness,
And realize I’m blue, I look preposterous to the populace,
It’s true, yet whatever I do, the hue remains,
Few complaints, as I realize I have few restraints,
Consciousness linked to reality on a quantum level,
My dearest Silk Specter, her touch missed so sensual,
No need to hide my testicles from the impressionable.
Cause I can teleport, my power immeasurable.
President Nixon personally asks me to quickly intervene,
The G.I’s misery In Vietnam is sickly seen,
So I decide to stop communism right in its tracks,
My mind made up as Marines fight right at my back
Rice paddies like puddles, crushing vegetation under feet,
Thunderous heat, burning V.C who fight while others take flight in retreat,
Wonderous treat it is when Silk see’s how I actually saved lives,
Misbehaved wife, love strayed while I was away nights.
Countless souls taken weighing heavily on my consciousness,
Noxious phosphorous was marvelous in its harmfulness.
But I understand there’s simply more to life than adulterous wives.
It could’ve been my stubbornness or the suddenness my heart was knifed
Love deprived as soon as the news arrived felt as if I would die,
Revenge the act, teleport Silk to Mars were Earth is seen in the sky/
